Soliloquy Poem by Richard D Remler

Soliloquy

.......................................

One of these days
When the weather is fine,
When the morning seems sweet
And I really don't mind,
I'll climb out of this wreck,
Where I seem I belong...
And I'll really not care
Who was right.Who was wrong.
I'll drink in this world,
For shes' been very brave.
She'll dance the spring water
That ebbs from my grave.
And echo a song
That will cause me to smile,
Something I've missed
For a very long while.

One of these days,
When the Springtime breathes new -
I'll climb out from this dream,
And I'll reach for the blue...
And Morning will whisper
The leaves of my name,
As warm as that flickering
Haunt of a flame,
And though she is fleeting,
I'll witness her smile.
She will pause here and linger
For but a short while.
And perhaps I'll find peace
That I've never known.
And in that moment I won't feel
So very alone.

all mad, the mysteries disappear
and life stands explained."

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Ruth Walters 02 February 2019

we're all alone from the moment we're born, from the time they cut the umbilical cord, we delude ourselves often that maybe we're not but we're trapped in our bodies, like it or not...some bodies are healthy, some are superb but some not so sound, robust or fit. I wouldn't like to be trapped in any of those so I'm grateful and happy and try not to moan. :)
