Solitary Of Our Thoughts Poem by David Harris

Solitary Of Our Thoughts

There are days when
the idle chatter of others
want to invade the solitary of our thoughts,
as all we want is quiet,
to be alone in our world.
We try to close our ears,
blocking out the sounds around,
not relinquishing our privacy to anyone,
but the constant barrage of their words
slowly makes cracks in our silence
and we lose the harmony
in the solitary of our thoughts.
