Solitude Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

Solitude

she stands alone in thoughts
isolated by the blanket of pain
that stabs at the heart of her heart
the crown of her soul destroyed
annihilated by the broken promise
her hopes drowned by her sorrow
her thoughts having reached a dead end
spins out of control with fatal consequences
the destruction of a human life imminent
one two three tablets washed down her throat
the whole bottle in her her hand
awaiting the final instruction...
the final pause took longer than expected
allowing a ray of light to pass through the slit in her heart
warmth brought hope
and hope bought life
a human soul spared
the tears started to flow...
