Some weird bird

She said there was a weird bird
which often comes to her window,
and that she is constantly nourished.

I asked her whether this bird
likes to eat a lamb.
She laughed.

I asked her whether this bird
likes black or white wine.
She laughed again.
She said preferred to drink black.

I imagined her bird
that with oily hand holding
a glass of red wine,
which is drink only for a sin.
I did not say anything.
I smiled.

I asked her whether
she courted this bird.
She laughed again.

I asked her in the end
what's the name of this bird?

She laughed and said,
somehow shy:
The bird is called: Zoki*.

*Zoki is my nickname.

Neka čudna ptica

Rekla je da joj jedna ptica
često dolazi na prozor,
i da je ona stalno hrani.

Pitao sam je da li ta ptica
voli da jede jagnjetinu.
Nasmijala se.

Pitao sam je da ti ta ptica
voli crno ili bijelo vino.
Opet se nasmijala.
Rekla je da radije pije crno.

Zamislio sam njenu pticu
koja u masnoj ruci drži
času crnog vina koje se
pije samo za grijeh.
Ništa nisam rekao.
Nasmijao sam se.

Pitao sam je da li se
ona udvara toj ptici.
Opet se nasmijala.

Pitao sam je na kraju
kako se zove ta ptica.

Nasmijala se i rekla,
nekako stidljivo:
Ptica se zove: Zoki.
