Some Wins Are For Losers Poem by Hebert Logerie

Some Wins Are For Losers

The trial of the century was won by the old juice
But at the end of the day, he found himself not loose
And ended up in jail. It's hard to leave old habits behind.
The nincompoop was impeached. History will not so be kind
To him. He got saved by his fellow hyenas. That's a shame
Some wins are for losers. To the racists who stole fame
History will judge them harshly. History will not absolve
Them. At the very end, love, honesty, decency and justice
Will prevail. The true winners will be, of course, the victims
Some spurious victories are very short-lived. The blind dove
Will come one day to bring justice to the destitute citizens
There's a time for the midnight thieves and a time for the hens
A Guardian Angel is always watching. The cheaters will get caught
No man or woman is above the law. Justice can never be bought.
