Someone mysterious came to me at night,
He bended quietly, whispered me still,
he was the best hope, the only aspiring,
By light unearthly was thrilling in me.
Waiting me with his long glances, and calling,
Opened the road to the native sky,
The hymns from there sounded like reproaches,
and the forgotten dream stood up more bright.
All that was shielded by eyes that could not see,
by body's fabric and dreams of the day,
All that inclined to me with such a fondness,
higher and higher he lured me away.

Ночью мне виделся Кто-то таинственный,
Тихо склонялся Он, тихо шептал;

The speaker of this poem has been coaxed into a higher dimension of Reality, which must be at least the outskirts of Heaven. What might have been a terrifying encounter with an angel becomes instead almost gentle, perhaps because the speaker has earned her salvation, has nothing fear in divine judgment and rises almost effortlessly into that higher realm. This Dream-Reality will forever change her mortal life. It reminds me of Coleridge's poet in KUBLAI KHAN, he on honey-dew hath fed, / And drunk the milk of paradise. After such mysterious experiences a person will live not just an earthly life but one partly heavenly.
