Something Inside Has... Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Something Inside Has...

Time does not end with the last breath
Leaving the mouth in a low sigh
Opening the door to chambers of death
Moving forward to the uttermost high

Everything stands still when love departs
Your one and only fades into thin air
Then the beating of those invisible hearts
Exist in memories no longer shared.

Yes indeed I agree heartily with your opening statement. There is afterlife. Superb rhyming ESP in the first stanza. Fine muse. Thumbs up. Pleez do write your thoughts under my newest poem too, titled, dark skinned vs fair skin, I would love to hear your views on it.
