Sometime Somewhere Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Sometime Somewhere

Sometime, someone should story tell
If only incorrect is still, but an answer
Why O Why must it always be this way
Life so unpleasant, forsaken, unremembered

In the beginning living appeared seemingly easy
Now, must drift so far away
When fur, and feathers started to gather
Dividing the land and sea, already gained

If only words were an example
A collection of earnest, Instilled in each line
Then perhaps the answer would become faithful
Holding together the bonds of each life

Not long before the last had fallen
Somewhere before a new age had arrived
Beholding, by building the greatness of temples
Lost to them had been the words once inscribed

When all could lie and sleep with lions
Little ones would ride on bears
No one harmed the Bunny Rabbit
Deer were everywhere

Once upon not long ago
When all were loved and all so kind
Before blood-red became a river
When then the smaller learned to hide

The beasts became the mighty hunters
Life once good, was now survived
The natural ways were soon forgotten
Now all that live, Must someday die
