Sometimes Poem by Patricia PMC

Sometimes

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes I am awaken by a mornful cry,
Only to find the tears are from my own eyes.
I thought by now they would all be dried,
But that would be only if I died.

Sometimes I think this pain will never end,
Theres nothing new around the bend.
And if there was, could I even see,
or is my pain blinding me.

Sometimes I think I can't go on,
only to find another day gone.
The days seem to fly by so fast,
only my pain seems to last.

Sometimes I can still hear your voice.
I let you go, I had no choice.
I thought that you would fight for me,
you promised me we'd always be.

Sometimes I think if I just give you time,
you'll come to see our love was in it's prime.
And if only given a second chance,
our hearts and souls could once again dance.

But that is just my hearts wishful thinking,
for I know your love just keeps on shrinking.
So alone forever I shall be,
because without you there is no me.
