Sometimes Truth Does More Harm Than Good Poem by Frank Sheehan

Sometimes Truth Does More Harm Than Good

Rating: 5.0

Sometimes the truth
is best hidden,
or maybe even
a white lie
can keep a situation
from exploding

Sometimes the truth hurts,
is better off not said,
best kept closeted inside.
It's an interesting philosophy
that believe it or not
has it's merits.

I've come across this
many times in life
when a preeminent fact
can do more harm
than good.
Better to leave it alone,

let it stay cloaked,
camouflaged, concealed
than exposed
to the light of day.
