Somewhere In The Blue Poem by T.L. Toadvine

Somewhere In The Blue

I was drunk on the whisky
You was drunk on the wine

We was spinnin'
on the dance floor
the sawdust was flyin'

so we flew...
and we never came down

Memories like that
that's worth keepin'
is hard to be found

On the outskirts of Memphis
with the rain pourin' down
thumb in the air
narry a ride to be found

So we started dancin'
twirlin'..... in the rain

You threw your head back
laughin'...
as I howled like a train

Flyin'
by the seat of our pants
there was nuthin' else to do

Two hearts against the world
and the wind
and smiles just for two

In a world that keeps spinnin'
round and around

ain't no tellin' Lord
where we might be found

But it don't make
no matter, no how
long as I'm with you
