Somewhere In The World Poem by Hebert Logerie

Somewhere In The World

It feels great to be somewhere
Floating around like a lost pear
In a field. Being at the very top
Can be dangerous and lonely
Gravity can be an enemy
At that height. The last stop
Is when you hit the ground
Weighing about 200 pounds
At ninety miles per hour
You're hurt to the core
It is awesome to be floating
At a safe level. Things
Change fast at high speed
There is a time to lead
To gain experience, there's a time
To follow
A better tomorrow
It's better to collect dimes
In lieu of amassing pennies
Wear and tear on the knees
Can be detrimental to one's wealth
Nothing is more valuable than good health
Flying a colorful kite is more fun
Than dropping a five pound fan
On the head of countless fans
Dancing wildly next to the vans.
