Somewhere That Ive Been Poem by Caitlin Wood

Somewhere That Ive Been

Minutes like hours,
Hours like years since you’ve been gone.
I lay in this abyss trying to capture your smile.
A glimpse of it here and there shatters my faith.

A love lost so beneath,
Beneath our feet in which we danced together.
Two lost souls searching for a life of happiness.
An effortless journey to the end of the world.

Hearing your song,
Song of beauty yet of pain at the same time.
Memories begin to unravel in my mind.
Like an everlasting twist in fate.

Together in my dreams,
Dreams taking me to a place where I can see you.
My desire to find our passion overwhelms my body.
And you are now just somewhere that I’ve been.
