Son Of The Sun Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Son Of The Sun

Rating: 5.0

Tired
Raining on
Darkness all around
The decay of nature
Let me hibernate
In brighter dreams ahead

Fustration
Restless in thoughts
Eyes want to close
But this body
Keeps moving on

Exhausted
Heart growing weary

This time is not mine
Yet. I never need any pity

This imagination
Keeps me going
Dreams of vivid light
And skies the bluest ever seen

Everything is so trying
Have to wait for awhile
To smile with the sun
While coasting with the breeze
As nature gives me such
Longing love

In the meantime
I keep battling on

I am just a Dreamer
I am just one of the sons
Of the sun

May these dreams
Help me relax
Within the confines
Of my own peace
The light is my life

I am just one
Of the sons of the sun

Here I am
