Can't live without love.
Can't love without life.
Can't earn without work,
When the virus is rife.
Can't live when unsafe.
Fear cuts like a knife.
While the shackles still chafe,
In the chaos and strife.
Where all opposition,
Is kicked to the curb.
While those without vision,
Are barely perturbed.
When disease hits the suburbs,
And your rights are usurped,
When the nouns of attrition,
Are attacked by rogue verbs.
Can't live without love,
With my chest in a vice.
Can't love without life,
When my blood turns to ice.
Can't live without hope,
That we all know the price.
You can't just soft soap us,
Like a canker excised.
When the rules of survival,
Outstrip the response.
And the Liar-In-Chief,
Reveals what he wants:
Economic revival,
Open bars and restaurants,
To knock down his rival,
And keep him ensconced.
Can't live without love.
Can't love without life.
Can't hope to out-bluff,
Any canny housewife.
Can't live without truth,
Without any facts,
Who now needs the proof?
How erratic he acts.
How strange is this dance,
In his fantasy realm,
In his grim nonchalance?
We are all overwhelmed!
