Song: Made For Lovin' Poem by Dave SmithWhite

Song: Made For Lovin'

This heart is made for lovin',
And that's what it will do.
One of these days it's gonna,
Open up to you.
Open like a flower:
My petals hard and stiff.
You'll have me in your power,
To amuse you and toy with.

You may have some misgivin's,
But you must set them adrift.
You know you have forgiven me
For our recent rift.
Now I'm open like a flower,
To all your scorn and shrift.
Caress me like a scour;
You can blow me like a spliff!

This soul ain't meant for hidin',
When affections are on view.
It's you who'll be decidin',
If what I say is true.
We'll climb the greasy tower,
And see what we accrue.
You can have me by the hour,
When every moments new.

'Cause life is meant for livin'.
That's what I mean to do.
All my dreams are driven, now,
By my love of you.
Driven up the bowers,
Of Darwin's abounding tree.
I'll dissemble, tremble, cower,
To make you come to me!

This heart is made for lovin';
And that's what it will do.
Like witches in a coven,
I'll cast my spell anew.
This heart is made for lovin',
So that's what I'll pursue;
There is no place for stubborn,
When my intent's to woo!

This heart is made for lovin';
And for sure that's what it does.
When you rule me, will you govern,
With all the fates above?
For my heart is like a flower,
In a silky web and fuzz,
To the bees that flit and glower,
To yowl and howl abuzz.

This heart is made for givin';
And that's what it must do.
When all the world is riven by
The re-appearance of the blues.
I'll open like a flower
To accept your love: a gift.
You'll have me in your power.
You can throw me off a cliff!

This heart is made for lovin';
And that's what it will do.
Like bigots in a klavern;
Like a pirate ship and crew.
Our hearts are made for lovin',
And that's what we will do;
No need for push and shovin',
I'll stick to you, like glue!
