Ah, the suckled sweet pitch of the song bird...Had one outside my window last Spring...Damn thing nested up and had a dozen chicks! I threw away my alarm clock, as I had now inherited a new one from Mother Nature...An early Christmas Gift, I thought? No, no...that would be the proverbial Partridge in a pear tree....None the less, they and I finally bonded and when they all flew the coop, ooops... I mean the nest, I actually missed them all...The matriarch stayed for awhile longer, I guess to entertain me with some solos....a far cry from a 13 bird concert...But, that's life...Hey, a fine write, my friend....as always! ~FjR~
