Song's Circular Ways Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Song's Circular Ways

A variety of expressions all telling the same things, but
in different words a world away from the normal, interest-
ing and fulfilling this mere poet with rhythm of her own.

Captivating and finding an unconditional love that brings
comfort and an interior freedom, knowing that this life
will be opening into a variety of rhythms.

Now listening as the lead guitar sings Wagon Wheel, another
of this poet's favorite songs, loving to write incessantly
while listening to it.

Caving to the sweet and endearing melodies that stack them-
selves within this heart, soul and spirit, altogether rising
and falling like waves of the ocean.

Bringing this poet closer and closer to a sunsetical horizon,
recalling memories of the past, knowing that soon all's that
will be left are those that have come and gone in a flash.

Yet, not too much more lying ahead, because there are rhythms
coded, telling this poet about future visions looking and
feeling like a flow of energy.

One like lava flowing from within this mere poet incessantly,
loving the circular way in which this song takes mind and
intellect so gently, but insistently whenever hearing it
being played, especially by this great band.
