Song Sparrows Poem by Patrick Bryan

Song Sparrows

Rating: 5.0

One day at the park,
Needing to rest after a lark.
On the warm green grass with my mom,
Next to a babbling brook in the sun.
The sky was blue with cotton clouds,
Shady trees were all around.
From the trees I could hear,
The sound of song sparrows that were near.
It was beautiful and it was clear,
The song of sparrows over there.

My mother said this was a sign,
Seasons have turned into springtime.
I remember it to this very day,
I hope forever the thought will stay.

When I'm sad, not feeling strong,
Let me hear a sparrows song.
Then I'll remember that special day,
What a pleasant thing,
I'll be okay
