Sonnet #11 Poem by Edwina Reizer

Sonnet #11

He walks with loving eyes
that fill me to the brim.
And all the days that come to me
I'll always think of him.
He doesn't say too many words
but in my heart I know
there is no language he must speak
for how he loves me so.

He walks with cunning smile
that fills my heart with fire.
And all the nights that do arrive
I'll always feel desire.
He tempts me with his stare
and makes me come undone.
There is no escape that I can find,
for his looks have always won.

And so my love, I am content
to count my time with you.
as the most important commitment
that only a woman can do.
So when your eyes speak with love
and your smile beckons me,
my heart is over- flowing
and my breaths come rapidly.
