Sonnet 16 Poem by Octavian Cocos

Sonnet 16

Will Shakespeare wrote nice sonnets for us all,
Because he loved a young man from his heart
And so do I, as if I hear his call,
But I prefer the woman cute and smart.
The blonde, brunette or brown-haired, I don't care,
Tall, short or thin or sometimes even fat,
The woman with a soul as light as air,
And with a mind as lively as a cat.
Too bad that Shakespeare died long time ago
I bet he would have liked to be his friend,
Because I write the way he used to show,
So that the lines may shine for years on end.
Both I and Shakespeare share the same good views
For love is our dear and holy muse.
