Sonnet # 30 Missing You Poem by John A. Hancock

Sonnet # 30 Missing You

Rating: 5.0

I heard not the sound of your voice
That sweet song I long to hear
Of that melody which be'stills my heart
Not a single note do I hear
I miss the simple joy of thy smile
The honey'd taste of your kiss
The soft touch of my lips upon thy face
The pleasure I feel when in thy midst
My darling each day apart is an eternity
The waves of time slowly they linger on
I await in heartfelt anticipation until
Once again your safely back in my loving arms
The love of my life thou truly be
For only with you is my soul complete
