Sonnet 63, I Have Here A Song Poem by Peter S. Quinn

Sonnet 63, I Have Here A Song

I have here a song, deep within my heart,
Which I'd like to sing to you, it is about
A lot of love - I don't know how to start,
As it echoes through without being out.
With variance of feelings as I sing,
Of a love that is true and whole in contend;
I hope someday it can peace to you bring,
And your feelings and lack of interest bend.
For what is our life, if it's without hope?
And if our efforts die with each new try,
How can we manage and how can we cope?
If all our feelings, away from us die.
Can we be indifference and show kindness?
Is not all love then, of this world far less?
