Sonnet: Bare Facts Of Life Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Bare Facts Of Life

Rating: 2.5

Whose earthly life’s beset with problems not?
Which road or lane quite long is always straight?
Which mountain range is neither cold nor hot?
Which place on earth has only love, no hate?

Our life’s terrain is full of ups and downs;
Our stay is unpredictable always;
At times, the wisest turn almost mere clowns;
From birth till death, our walk is through a maze!

Both good and bad things come to pass away;
Nothing is permanent or standing still;
How dawn brings dusk, the night gives way to day;
However healthy, some day must turn ill!

Nevertheless, we have to live our days!
In earthly stay, we wear divine a face.
