Liberties little components as rights
May so innocently erode and fray,
Our hill crumbling naively in repose
As complacently all's frittered away.
So many advances and merits built
The mountain on which we rely and stand,
On hard toiled shoulders of all forebears
Sacrifices extending a helping hand.
Journeying all siblings in daily life
To lift the lot of one and all in kind,
Gathering strength to stoke the light on high
So that in dark times, none are left behind.
If meek, we are persuaded to ignore,
Darkness comes, and we are forever poor.

A sublime poem written in a great way and the last lines ends it in an admirable compassionate didactic words. Wish I could manage a sonnet someday too. The rhyme is splendid as well. Great to read u again poet.
