When problems defy human solutions,
And seem incomprehensible to thought,
And reels my head in grandiose delusions,
I curse the perpetrator for the act!
Like many diseases one cannot cure,
Or treat the pain of terminal cancer,
Many things on earth, one ought to endure,
Which deepest thought can’t give you an answer.
The hand of God can work yet great wonders,
Of course, in His own time and in His way;
With lightning speed, God sets aright blunders;
But all you got to do is wait and pray!
Console those hearts with intolerable grief;
God, give them grace to discover relief.
