Sonnet: On Praying To God Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: On Praying To God

Rating: 3.0

All fervent prayers from the hearts of men
Waft through the air, sky, space and onto God,
Entering His Holy abode, Heaven,
To bring blessings, reduce His angry rod!

The God of love just loves when creatures ask,
Awaiting eagerly to help in time;
Ever-ready to make easy, a task,
The Maker’s heart beats forever all clime.

Though mankind knows the need for God’s dear aid,
At times, the human being forgets God,
Until in troubles he attempts to wade,
But cannot solve the problems galore odd!

Commune with God to get success on earth,
And make your life worthy and blessed since birth!
