Sonnet Xi - Think Not That I Would Deem To Break Thy Heart Poem by Valerie Dohren

Sonnet Xi - Think Not That I Would Deem To Break Thy Heart

Think not that I would deem to break thy heart
No words or actions could I thus pursue
There are no ways to set us so apart
For I, my love, forever will stay true
And if thou wouldst hold fast my promise long
My heart be yours eternal so to keep
Through time's enduring span forever strong
I never shall lay cause for you to weep
My love, I would forever keep thee close
Close as a raven steadfast to his nest
Not ever could I make thee so morose
That thou should wonder far to east or west
…….. My heart is ever yours without regret
…….. And yours I'll hold most dear forever yet
