Soothing Sleep
Soothing sleep
a hot summer noon
walking with a shoulder load
that balm, sleep, beckons
bones and muscles tire
the last mile goes on and on
home is, a mirage
when the sack is hit
in no time sleep envelops
with snore thanks is said
