sorrow is sifting down
over the pine-needled ground
over the palaces in the distance
nothing makes a sound
orange clouds lightly grieve
strata of tangerine
sadness is setting in
at odds with a rose-ridged sky
inferring there is no end.
that nothing has to die.
you push bright scenes aside
glazed in your saturday chores
barring grief from the door
letting this be your creed
while under the bridge of far from here
the fairytale recedes.
