think everything can be solved with a single word
then nothing would hurt like a sword
another theory says it can give refreshment
to a once wounded heart so as to end torment

sorry is such a powerful word i know
it can change what lies for tomorrow
but if sorry can erase the past like nothing happened
i'd rather give up what i intended to amend

if a single word could answer it all
i'd rather set aside the formulae i've been trying to recall
if sorry can release a suspected criminal
i'd rather not stick to what's legal

if sorry can cure a defect
for sure no law would take any effect
truly it is that powerful
but if it dominates, how sorrowful..

i wanted to cry with the world
regrets are only there to unfold
think everything can be cured by a single word?
think again, you might not know what's there to accord..
