Sorry, But ‘twas Not Me Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Sorry, But ‘twas Not Me

Sorry but 'twas not me,
But wish that we could have some tea,
Maybe a chat, or something more,
Please tell me when to your door,
I may call to visit, to see and do,
To bring you flowers and perhaps you woo.

Perchance, perhaps, may it be soon,
That we become young flowers in bloom,
And our friendship will not wither and die,
But continue on whilst there's blue in sky.

Let this encounter be good for us both,
To live Life’s journey, and with all cope,
To see the world’s splendours
In sickness and health,
Coping with hardship as well as with wealth.
