Sound And Smoke - Poem by Michael Witkowski

Words are sound and smoke
watch human behaviour instead
never listen to their words
what they say they never mean
like you see it- you interprete
into them more than they meant
but never less than you hope

Bitingly accurate Michael, we project our own meaning through filters of personal experience or desire, hearing, but too often not listening; quite Marxist in fact: -) 'Judge a man by his actions.......' (Report)Reply
