Spear And Shield Poem by Kong Yin

Spear And Shield

God raises His shield and pronounces:
'My shield is the strongest;
nothing can pierce it! '
Then He lifts His spear and declares
'My spear is the sharpest;
nothing can resist it! '

A spectator picks up God’s spear and shield
asking with puzzlement:
'If this spear pokes this shield, what will happen? '

God grins
'Then the kingdom of heaven
emerges on earth
for my spear is called love
and my shield is called light.'
