Spending Life On Wishes Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Spending Life On Wishes

Many people spend their lives wishing things were or
could get better, yet they never go out and work for
what they desire in life.

Begging on street corners, having lost faith and hope,
never really turning to God for answers, some people
stealing from those who work hard for their families.

Never thinking about anyone else, just looking for
another fix, needing money for drugs, as their own
families suffer needlessly without them.

It's a shame, because they're messing with their
God-given brains and intellect, getting nowhere and
suddenly they'll find themselves at death's doors.
