Spiral Of Progress Poem by Jonathan ROBIN

Spiral Of Progress

Today's intentions spin tomorrow's fact
as new inventions newer still attract,
though fresh dimensions frequently are wracked
by strong dissensions which themselves are backed
by those with pensions seeking to extract
just concessions just before last act
sets scene for last gasp rictus. Cards are stacked
against both holders and beholders tacked
upon time’s train, from birth to death too tracked
as wheel spins tale, to tail-end logic cracked
second thoughts together interact
to spray new day’s cascading cataract
of [f]acts which change tomorrow’s good intentions,
through strange dimensions passing poet mentions.

extra concessions ere their final act,
sets scene for new intentions – cards still stacked
against both holders and beholders tacked
upon time’s train – from birth to death too tracked
as wheel spins tale, begins with logic cracked
another round as seconds interact
to spray new day’s cascading cataract
of [f]acts which spin tomorrow’s good intentions,
