'Spiralen' Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

'Spiralen'

The path winds up, a gentle "climb",
Twisting, turning, marking time.
A spiral staircase, round and round,
Leading to a special ground.

The air was soft, a summer kiss,
Upon that day, we found our bliss.
'Spiralen' named, a memory bright,
Bathed in warm and golden light.

We sat up high, two hearts entwined,
Watching Drammen left behind.
The town below, a sleepy hum,
As from that height, our love had come.

The sunbeams danced, a gentle gleam,
Caught in that perfect, waking dream.
It feels like yesterday, my dear,
Though seasons change, you're always near.

A long time passed, the years have flown,
But that sweet moment, seeds were sown.
Upon that 'mountaintop' so grand,
Forever held within my hand.
