Spirals The Sky. Poem by Leah Ayliffe

Spirals The Sky.

When the sky moves you in the pale blue and white clouds touch the grey.
When the day seems light and warm on winter's feather.
Where was the fire?
Be still.
Be here.
You are a God, a creator of beautiful things.
And I, I am a Goddess, creator of dreams.
Is it fair to say we live broken fractured lives, trying to breathe in the in-between?
Here. There. Space and time escape the distance of now and then.
Will be.
The stones lay waiting on the side of the road.
Cars in motion save my life. The mortal soul is immortal in passing, in racing with the birds singing to the radio.
To remember is to know, to reflect is to learn.
To say hello to the morning knowing you must say goodbye with the night is a lesson we neglect to grip.
Grip.
Grip me with your hands. Grip me with your lips.
Grip me with that vampire mind that is eternal.
We burn like the stars. Like a million suns.
We are a chaos of infinity, a chaos of passion and divine love.
Remember.
Or Forget.
Pick your destiny. I say pick your destiny damn it.
That's to say, can you become?
It's all I have ever wanted.
I got it.
I have become.
Are you happy with where you've been? The past has taught you everything and nothing.
I see answers on the horizon.
I see questions as magic guides.
The insanity that lives within me is a universe of forgotten things that few can define.
Deranged happiness in a world that draws strict lines.
Let go. The weight is really made of nothing. You made it your own.
You've all become so comfortable making the worries your home.
Let it go.
Become.
Let it go.
There's everything waiting for you, for you to realize you are free.
The prison and the chains that strangle your throat
Choke your breath and dent your heart,
Have never been locked.
Just tangled.
Escape.
Escape with me as I am you and we are.
We are the black sky and silver stars that ring in eternity.
