Spirits Not Wanting To Be Burdened Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Spirits Not Wanting To Be Burdened

Slapping drums as life hits the ground running, feeling the
strategy of an interior spiritual life taking beings into
depths of forests, deserts and mountains with open hearts.

Souls and minds whispering silently as rhythms catch up,
slapping those drums ever faster, riding down dusty trails,
never stopping to smell the roses.

Wanting only to gallop into the future, life not hinged to
material things, spirits not wanting to be burdened by earthly
feelings that really don't mean anything in the scheme of life.
