Spoiled Selves Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Spoiled Selves

Too few have yet had enough,
Of their spoiled selves.
To pack and store.
Placing them to dust.
With a forgetting to ignore,
Lives to live them thoughtless.
And ungrateful to others.
As if this to do is an expectation.
Given freedoms to choose,
Who should be mistreated and abused.

Too few have yet had,
Opportunities to realize.
The difference between truth.
And delusion to fantasize.
Nor ever have they been told,
From the day they were born...
Who has allowed their 'greatness',
To be dependent upon to continue on!

Too few have yet had enough,
Of their self serving spoiled selves.
To realize who has contributed,
With a sacrificing to receive grief.
Although clarity upon them,
Is approaching fast and quick.
As to who it has been supplying their needs.
And those delivering false speeches,
Feeding their minds fed on beliefs to keep.
Have disguised their misdeeds.
Successfully cloaking,
Their activities as thieves.
Coming soon to be revealed,
On the doorsteps to leave...
Reality.
Its clarity.
And undeniably,
An abundance of it!
