The flowers wave to oncomers
Their aroma swirling about
The light spring morning's flowing gown
Waking the seeds left by the birds last fall
Then there are the trees, strong, firm and tall
With lovely green leaves rustling in the cool morning breeze
There's the oak and the spruce and the fir and the hickory
All giving their unique wonders to the earth
There are the rocky swift streams that give you sprays of water in the face
And there are the calm gentle creeks with cold clear water and shimmering pebbles in the depths
And on the banks wonderful grass, flowers, and roots
As you sit in the shade of an oak on the riverbank
Admiring the wondrous day and the waving flowers
Thank God for the wonders flowing from everywhere
And giving us...
SPRING!
