the feminine
spring flowers
of Youth,
unaware
of their splendour:
unaware
of Spring!
unfurl their healthy,
velvety pink
chaste petals
in their morning of life,
moist with dew:
virginal carnation lips
dreaming, shuddering
for the kisses of sunlight:
they spring with pride
in Spring,
with nonchalance:
vitality for vitae!
delighting in admiration,
enticing, and seducing:
only to slowly
fade
beneath the scorching sun
of Summer...
A woman's youthful days are compared to spring flowers so attractive with beauty and fragrance! Unfortunately as time moves, they lose their charm and vitality and will fade away in the scorching heat of summer! A highly metaphorical poem!
The first bloom of youth and womanhood brilliantly composed with such delicacy and softness of the bud at it's first bloom of spring to then fade in the scorching heat of the summer!
