Spring & Summer Poem by Richard Stopps

Spring & Summer

Rating: 5.0

Pear blossoms white as new fallen snow,
Blanketed orchards of new growth.
Apple blossoms pink just burrsting
Freshly scrubbed faces
Forsythia blazing golden warmth
Like late morning sun.
Lilac white an purple and aubergene
Perfuming existence.
Emerald lawns and fields... the smell of fresh cut grass

Dusk and dark deafened,
Illuminated by skyrockets
For again We begin the walk beside our souls
Into new beginnings....
