Spring Thaw Punch Breakthrough Poem by Terence George Craddock

Spring Thaw Punch Breakthrough

in lands of deep snow drift winters
where ice frost-kissed pines stand sentinel
winter like a hungry wolf bites into tree bark
spring birth is thaw push breakthrough
spring fragile timid tiptoes forth
a season still waiting for new life hope
buds unfold unfurl delicate green sweet
first growth promising life's leaf resurgence
