Springtime Poem by Aidan Cost

Springtime

Pastel skin, orange hair,
I longed to see you there,
in the springtime,
by the river, by the trees,
Golden sun, frosted air,
I longed to feel you there,
in the springtime,
healing branches, softened breeze.
ground, chestnut brown,
strong hills in a market town,
in the springtime,
by the bridge, under leaves,
renmant stones of forgotten past,
I longed to make it last,
in the springtime,
we'll go walking, under withered eaves.
cucooned in warmth, heart heavy beat,
I longed to feel complete,
in the springtime,
deep in the grass, deep in the bloom,
heartfelt words that formed the yolk,
second glances and a goofy joke,
in the springtime,
came so fast, went so soon.
in the springtime,
came so fast, went so soon.
