Square Poems 02

One by One

Hey!

Two by Two

My cat
is fat.

Three by Three

For today
I will pray
come what may.

Four by Four

When all seems lost
Don't count the cost
Just do your best
Forget the rest

Five by Five

Heavenly Father
Still loves his children
And will not forsake
Them, but reveal his
Word through his prophets.

Amos 3: 7
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants, the prophets

Note: I call these square poems because they have the same number of syllables per line as there are lines in the poem: two lines, two syllables per line; three lines, three syllables per line, etc.

Square poems do not have to rhyme, but it's fun if you can make them do so. You can also make them acrostic if you want.

Many of the poems that follow are acrostic square poems. To read them, just keep clicking on the 'next poem' button.
