Starring At Me Poem by Jasmine Aira

Starring At Me

Rating: 5.0

I'm in class,
I glance at you,
your starring,
not in a nice way,
and glarring,
and jerking,
and smirking,
and whispering to the others around you,
they look too.
What did I do?
Do I deserve this?
Why are you so mean?
I would ask,
but we're in class.
Your STILL starring,
and glarring,
and jerking,
and smirking.
What do I look like to you?
A jerk with no morals?
A loser with no feelings?
A perfect snobby angel?
A devious useless guttermouth?
A ' it ', designed to be starred at?
Or do you just think I should belong in the trash?
Please stop glarring,
and starring,
and jerking,
and smirking.
What did I do?
To deserve this?
What do I look like to you?
I am a human-being too,
I have feelings,
just like you.
So what is wrong with me?
Am I ugly?
Am I gross?
Do you admire me?
Do you hate me?
Do you love me?
So why,
just why,
are you starring at me?
Is it something I said?
Nope, this is class,
not a chitter-box land.
Is there something on my face?
Nope, just a face and nothing more.
Is it something I smell like?
Nope, I can't smell you from there.
Then what Is it?
Do you expect me to,
run and hide?
Cry and die?
Be scared and beware?
Smirk and jerk at you too?
Blow a kiss and wave accurately?
What do you want?
I am confused.
I am sad.
Not glad.
No.
No.
No.
So why,
just why,
are you starring,
at me?
I hope it's good.
I hope it's not bad.
Whatever it is,
I care,
because,
your smirking,
jerking,
starring,
and
glarring.
