Ronell Warren Alman Poems

Drinking and drugging is not the way to go
It leads to nothing but trouble
You'll have a hard time thinking clearly
You'll often get lost in the shuffle
...

All that is left are memories
When a loved one sadly passes on
One never really gets over the loss
But, you must be strong
...

Girl, why don't you dry those tears
You have so much to live for
Things will not always be like this
There is so much more in store
...

I am sitting in the back of the bus
Observing the children play
With the weather just gorgeous
On a very lovely day
...

Be a good student
Learn as much as you can
Always be willing to grab education
For the time is at hand
...

Girl, when I look at your eyes
I see all of your genuine charms
I want to give you my everything
Including the moon and the stars
...

Girl, there is sweet tenderness
We always have loads of fun
Every moment is golden
Together we lay underneath the sun
...

A dark path
That is where you are headed
Keep messing with the wrong crowd
And you will be leaning toward a dead end
...

Girl, that pretty face
That loving smile
Your inner beauty
Really drives me wild
...

If love is suppose to be real
Then why do we push it away?
We often masquerade our feelings
And we have nothing to say
...

Use your mind
It is a very sharp tool
Do not waste your time
Do not be a fool
...

We need to teach the youths
On how to succeed
Build them up with courage and dignity
So they can prosper and take heed
...

Believe that you can always
Just try it out
You may surprise yourself
And remove self-doubt
...

Girl, what a gorgeous beauty you are
Stunning, sassy, classy, and charming
You possess a lovely personality
You're such a darling
...

Enlighten, encourage and empower
Let those words be uplifting
As you embark on your next adventure
Look for a deeper meaning
...

Believe in yourself
Accentuate the positive
You can do good things
You only have one life to live
...

Girl, that loving smile
Really says it all
Nothing but magic and wonder
As I see your smile by the waterfall
...

Girl, you are amazing
Girl, you are stunning
Girl, you are beautiful
Girl, you are loving
...

Change will come
We must believe
We must make greater strides to become better
So that way we can achieve
...

Be a winner
Grab education
Do not follow the wrong crowd
Drugs are not apart of the equation
...

Ronell Warren Alman Biography

This is my description of myself and my poetry. My name is Ronell Warren Alman. I was born on Monday August 26th 1974 at approximately 7: 00 PM in the evening in New York City. I spent the majority of my childhood growing up in The Bronx despite the fact that I like to represent the borough of Brooklyn. I went to Public School 87 from September 1980-June 1986. I then went to John Philip Sousa Junior High School 142 (now Intermediate School 142) also in The Bronx from September 1986-June 1989. I was a member of the Arista National Honor Society. I then went to DeWitt Clinton High School also in The Bronx from September 1989-June 1992. I was a member of the Macy Medical Science Honors Gifted Program. I graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in June 1992 with Honorable Mention. My stage name is Brooklyn aka Brooklyn Six aka The Brooklyn Six Project™. I came up with the name as a result of the tragedy that took place on American soil on Tuesday September 11th 2001. That is a day that no one will ever forget. Many people were running across the Brooklyn Bridge when the airplanes rammed into The World Trade Center causing to say the least 'a major catastrophe'. The '6' comes from the train in New York City that has a last stop in downtown Manhattan called Brooklyn Bridge. That is how I was able to come up with my stage name. I spent nine years in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, I worked as a personnelman. I was primarily responsible for providing customer service and updating military service records to over three thousand service members. I also served as a legal clerk as well. While I was at sea, I was also apart of the navigation department as well. My duties there were to keep track of all shipboard events as they happened. The experience was delightful but yet very stressful at times. I was able to sail across the Western Pacific three times. I have visited countries like Mexico, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Guam, Hong Kong, Okinawa, New Zealand, Australia, and more. While in the Navy, I have lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, Portland, OR, and Seattle. I have been to cities in the US such as Chicago, Detroit, St Louis, Minneapolis, Dallas, Milwaukee, Seattle, Portland, OR, Post Falls, Boise, Coeur D'Alene, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Providence, New Haven, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Boston, and more! Traveling is fun. I had an awesome time in everyone of these places. I really loved learning about the way how people live all over the globe. Anyways, just about all of my poems are about life, love, triumph, tragedy, sorrow, grief, happiness, hope, and more. I really love to write new material. It puts my mind at ease whenever I am stressed about something or someone. Poetry is my writing medication. I have been writing poetry since 1984. Many people have given me rave reviews on my poetry. Hopefully everyone who reads my material will be able to enjoy my gift. To everyone, if you are gifted in some way shape or form utilize it. Utilize the gift that god gave you and do not waste it. REMEMBER THAT YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! ! ! I presently reside in Lynnwood, Washington approximately 20 miles north of Seattle. I currently specialize in marketing and advertising. I work as a sales and marketing representative for a major hair stylist company in Lynnwood, WA and in Mountlake Terrace, WA. I also work as a marketing operations manager for a major income tax company in Lynnwood, WA. I also work as a marketing representative and a administrative assistant for a major bail bonds company by the courthouse in Everett, WA. I also work part time as a doorman at a local nightclub in Everett/Lynnwood, WA. I do not take mess from anyone. YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME! ! ! NO EXCEPTIONS! ! ! In addition to all of that, I am currently working on building my music career. I want to be able to put my music out there so the whole world can see and enjoy. MUSIC IS MY PASSION to say the least. I am a member of a funk/rock/blues band called THE MADDAWGZ. The other members of the band are Evan Wickham (lead guitarist, lead and background vocalist) , Dubious Dub' William Riddle (lead and background vocalist, bass guitarist, percussionist) , Danny Eddy (drummer) , Dean 'The Machine' Campbell (bass guitarist, background vocalist) , and our newest member Ken Hurlbert (bass guitarist, background vocalist) . I sing lead and background vocals. I am also a percussionist of the band. I am also looking to work with others who have the same goal as I. The MADDAWGZ is currently on a hiatus status right now. We are all doing our own thing at this present time. We will reunite at a future date. Maybe we can collaborate on a project together someday.)

Drinking And Drugging Is Not The Way To Go

Drinking and drugging is not the way to go
It leads to nothing but trouble
You'll have a hard time thinking clearly
You'll often get lost in the shuffle
People will avoid you at all costs
They will see you as being suspicious
Others will not know who you really are
Because now you're very dangerous
