Step Behind Me Devil Poem by Randy McClave

Step Behind Me Devil

Step behind me devil
Get out of my way,
Upon me you will not revel
As I move forward today.
I will not hate the poor
Nor will I hate the needy,
I will become my core
I will not become greedy.

Get behind me Satan
Get out of my sight,
I will not be hatin'
Even if you use all of your might.
No matter of their belief
No matter the color of their skin,
I will not treat them like a thief
I will not commit a sin.

Leave me beast
These words you better heed,
Upon me you will not feast
As the Bible I do read.
I follow the steps of Christ
I follow the path that he has chose,
For me his life he sacrificed
Then he arose.

Stay away from me evil
Leave me alone,
I will stand against your upheaval
As I hear the people moan.
I have seen you cheated
I have seen and heard you lied,
Your ways will be unseated
God is on my side.
