Step Behind Me Poem by Randy McClave

Step Behind Me

Step behind me I do say
As I get down on my knees to pray,
Your temptation doesn't bother me
I will not ever follow thee.
I will not take the path that you have chose
As I stay upon my toes,
When I think of you I wanna puke
You, I happily rebuke.
You can place whatever you want in my path
But, I will not ever ridicule, judge or laugh,
Whether it's a different color, race or belief
I will proudly give them help, and/or relief.
And if they are gay or needy or even poor
I will happily open my front door,
Your prejudism I do not ever want
My soul it will not ever haunt.
You can tempt me anyway that you wanna tempt
Unto you I say, "I follow Jesus", is my only hint,
I'm so tired of all this haten
So, I say unto you, "Get behind me Satan"!
